Assunto: How To Prevent Prostate Problems And Diseases?

The prostate gland is central to the part of a male's reproductive system. It secretes fluids that assisted in the transportation and activation of sperm. The men's prostate is found just before the rectum, below the bladder and surrounding the urethra. When there is prostate problem, in most cases very uncomfortable and inconvenient to the patient as his urinary method is directly affected.

The common prostate health issues are prostate infection, enlarged prostate and cancer of prostate.



Prostate infection, also known as prostatitis, is easily the most common prostate-related problem in men younger than 55 years. Infections of the men's prostate are classified into four types - acute bacterial prostatitis, chronic bacterial prostatitis, chronic abacterial prostatitis and prosttodynia.

Acute bacterial prostatitis will be the least common of all types of prostate infection. It is caused by bacteria based in the large intestines or urinary tract. Patients may feel fever, chills, body aches, back pains and urination problems. This condition is treated by using antibiotics or non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to relieve the swelling.

Chronic bacterial prostatitis can be a condition of a particular defect inside gland along with the persistence presence of bacteria inside the urinary tract. It can be caused by trauma to the urinary tract or by infections originating from other areas in the body. A patient may experience testicular pain, small of the back pains and urination problems. Although it is uncommon, it can be treated by removal from the prostate defect followed by the use antibiotics and NSAIDs to treat the inflammation.

Non-bacterial prostatitis accounts for approximately 90% of prostatitis cases; however, researchers have not to ascertain the cause of these conditions. Some researchers believe chronic non-bacterial prostatitis occur due to unknown infectious agents while other believe intensive exercise and heavy lifting may cause these infections.

Maintaining a Healthy Prostate

To prevent prostate diseases, a proper weight loss program is important. These are some in the steps you can take to keep your prostate healthy.

1. Drink sufficient water. Proper hydration is important for general health and will also also maintain your urinary track clean.

2. Some studies advise that several ejaculations weekly will help to prevent prostate cancer.

3. Eat red meat sparingly. It has been shown that consuming over four meals of beef a week will increase the risk of prostate diseases and cancer.

4. Maintain a proper diet with cereals, vegetable and fruits to make sure sufficient intake of nutrients required for prostate health.

The most critical measure to look at to ensure a wholesome prostate is always to opt for regular prostate health screening. If you are forty years and above, you should opt for prostate examination at least per year.
